If you have any questions that have not been answered below, please contact us and we will answer your question and add it to this page, so that everyone can benefit from the information. Some questions will need to be answered with more videos so we are looking forward to hearing from you.

Enrolment fees are in AUD

Q1) How long do I have to complete the masterclass?

When you enrol, you will have access to the content for 90 days. The workshop is designed in such a way that once you understand, the knowledge will stay with you forever. Upon completion, it becomes more about practicing rather than referring back. The whole masterclass is 4 hours and 27 minutes long which you should easily complete in 90 days but if you need an extension, email us and we will extend it for another 30 days.

There is an option for students who have completed the masterclass to become a an ongoing member for USD $30 a year which will give you access to online sound baths, sound meditations, chanting, future videos and the sound library. Please email us if you are interested.

Q2) Will I get a qualification or a certificate after completing the masterclass?

The masterclass has been taught from my experience of growing up in Nepal, my connection to the culture, selling singing bowls since 2008, holding live workshops throughout Australia and the US, and using singing bowls for healing others. I did not require any qualification or certificate to play singing bowls for someone. For me this fell in a similar realm as an indigenous Australian playing a didgeridoo for healing or someone playing an organ at a church for spiritual connection.  So to answer that question: no, you don't get any formal qualification after completing the masterclass. I could create a certificate, but it would be more for fun.

Q3) I have done a sound healing course somewhere else and it clashes with this masterclass, which one should I go with?

This is bound to happen because there are different schools of thought on any subject. Let me give two examples: in acting classes, some teachers follow the internal style Meisner technique, whilst others work externally using the Commedia del'Arte form. A doctor might recommend a pain killer for headaches whilst others recommend ginger powder (researched to be equally effective). I will never go against someone else's teaching if it works for them, but I will encourage you to find your own way. Playing and using a singing bowl is equal part science and equal part art. Mastery in science come from understanding, but mastery in art come from practice.

To give you in example: someone may say harmonic sounds are good for creative thoughts whereas dissonant sounds are good for releasing emotions. What you could be asking in response is: "Is that due to the power of suggestion or is it the sound? How can I test this?

Another example is if someone say 432Hz calibration is better than 440Hz calibration. What you need to ask yourself is: What about 415Hz calibration? How are you or your customers responding to different calibration? You should question and test everything you hear and not just go by what someone says.

What level or age group does this masterclass suit?

This masterclass suits all groups that can understand simple instructions in English. However, we are planning to dub the masterclass in several other languages in the future. You should also have medium to good hand-eye coordination to follow some instructions.

The only people who this workshop might not suit are people who have been playing singing bowls for a long time and are set in their ways and their beliefs. So for example if you are set in your belief that the stick should not be put inside the bowl as a display because it's sin, then this masterclass is not for you. If you believe that the only way to play a singing bowl is on the tips of your fingers and no other ways are correct and you have ended up an an argument on this topic in the past, then this masterclass is not for you.

Q4) What is that bowl that you played in such and such video in such and such time?

Forget about that bowl. Every bowl is different, that bowl is long gone or probably not for sale. Find your own bowl. If you really want to know, pull out your tuner and test its frequency. However, if you do find a similar bowl to the one you liked in any video, you may or may not like it in real life. Keep exploring.
